OK, enough of the touchy feely stuff. Let’s cover the important things – like racing! Specifically, let’s talk about racing buggies!
5 years ago, Trackside Raceway made the transition from carpet to dirt. One of the unfortunate consequences of making this change has been the loss of one of racing’s long standing traditions. The U.S. Touring Car Championships. The decade long race marked one of the premier vehicle-specific races in the country. Rekindling the spirit and memory of the Championships leads us to announce the following:
Please join us in the next big adventure…. The 2015 U.S. Off-Road Buggy Championships. Looking to showcase the performance and close racing seen in open wheel racing we will limit this race to 2WD and 4WD buggies.
Mark your calendars for May 2nd and 3rd , 2015. The race format will include 3 rounds of qualifying (rocket round structure) and showcase 10 Minute mains with bump-up format. 2WD classes include: Sportsman, 17.5 Blinky (No-Timing), Modified. 4WD classes include: 13.5 Blinky and Modified. Entry Fees: 1st Entry - $30, Additional Entries - $15, and Sportsman - $15.
Schedule of Events:
Saturday: Doors open at 8AM, Qualifying kicks off at 10AM. 3 Rounds
Sunday: Doors open at 8AM, Racing begins at 9AM. Each main is 10 Minutes, Top 2 bump up. Awards presentation to follow!
